I am always a little surprised when Daniel’s school schedule is finalized. What classes will he try this time? This year he auditioned for a choir, bought a tux, and now he’s a singer.
He is a man of many talents.

Here is Daniel playing Concerto in a minor, 3rd movement, by Jean Williams, accompanied by his piano teacher.
We are lucky to have music like this from our boys in our home each day.
Timothy impressed us with this piece by Helen Boykin. He is accompanied by his piano teacher.
We’ve had a few weeks of concerts and recitals for our boys. Here is Mark playing Concertino in d Minor, 1st movement by Walter & Carol Noona. His piano teacher is his accompanist.
We will post Daniel and Timothy’s performances in the next few days.
Daniel played this in church last month in his new suit and tie. We love the big finish.
It’s been a tradition for the past 10 years to make Christmas movies for the grandparents. We’re thinking of them as we ham it up. Here’s the opening number for our 2012 Christmas video. We hope that you enjoy it.
Thanks to Sarah and Bryan, we were able to attend the Christmas concert with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Alfie Boe, and Tom Brokaw. Squeeeee! (That was for you, Alfie!)
Joe and Stacy sat with us. My parents were there, too, but our seats were in different areas. We had a great dinner in downtown Salt Lake City with my parents, Joe, and Stacy. I love living here.
I liked seeing Gail Halvorsen, aka The Candy Bomber honored at the concert.
We got a good 8 or 9 inches of snow. This means we spent the morning clearing snow and trying to make our way to piano lessons. Tricky.
We shot our Christmas music video with our adorable kids.
Mark said to me tonight, “When we were making that movie, I felt like I was in Hollywood.”
When I asked how that felt, he said, “Pretty good!”
The 2009 Christmas video is the one to beat. Wish us luck.
I’ve a feeling we’re not in Arizona anymore.
Timothy enjoys making little films. For the school Reflections contest he decided to show what it was like to explore the Secret Garden at Spring Lake. The theme of Reflections this year is “The Magic of a Moment.” The music he chose is from the 1993 soundtrack from The Secret Garden.
I think his little film is charming and it captures a really beautiful afternoon.
Timothy is such a sweetheart.
