It was a quick trip, but so much fun. There’s no place like San Francisco. For me, it holds memories of my grandparents and Aunt Kate who took me there a couple of times when I was a teenager. I like driving through Berkeley and seeing all of the pastel houses. I like the rolling hills. As I have been writing my grandmother’s history, I have learned quite a bit about the Bay Area. A piece of my history lives there.
What I thought was funny is that 7 people asked me to take their pictures for them. They didn’t ask anybody else in the area. At one point they were lining up. I guess I looked the most trustworthy? I can’t figure it out. Those pictures of me and Tim in the front of the boat don’t really show how windy it was. I just about got blown over. Good times.
San Francisco was the first place I attended a ‘real’ science center. I remember lots of hills. -Can’t wait to experience the history you are writing.
